Mini Meeting Group

These meetings are held every 6 weeks. The aim of the group is for Service users to discuss the previous minutes and agenda for the meeting.

Service Users discuss and plan outings and any items, which they feel the resource requires. Also any information about forth-coming events.

The Service Users have their own source of funding in the form of limited donations. Through discussion the groups prioritise and vote to decide how the funding is spent.

Aims:

• To meet in small groups
• To promote and encourage discussion on items in the minute and agenda.
• To encourage informed choice
• To promote the principles of inclusion
• To encourage each individual to contribute to the meeting and look at ways to facilitate this
• To delegate groups or individuals to specific tasks
• To promote self-advocacy
• For individuals to gain understanding of democracy and acceptance that decisions may not be theirs.
